Kusumia Sr. Sec. School (now St. Teresa Sr. Sec. School) is a minority community institution run by PSA Sisters and managed by RCDES. The institution was established and managed by RCDES ( Romsn Catholic Diocesan Education Society) Regd. Under Rajasthan Societies registration Act in the year 1952 with just 20 Students. Sr. Stanly was the first Headmistress. In the year 1965 the school got the approval up to the primary level by the Govt. of Rajasthan.

The main aim of the school was to promote and provide education to people of Madar and nearby area, mainly to the girls of this area because at that time there was lack of inclination towards women education. Due to the hard word of the staff and keen interest and co-operation of the parents and local people the school managed to prepare the girls to give the secondary level exam as private students from the year 1965 to 1982.

Looking to the great demand of the parents this School was upgarded to middle level in 1975 and thereafter to the secondary level in 1983 and complying to the demands of the parents and the need of the place the management has decided to raise the school to senior secondary level in the year 2011.

Presently the school is preparing the boys and girls for the secondary and Senior Secondary Examination . The institution is running the faculties of Arts and Commerce recognized by the Board.

Respecting to the great demand of the parents of the parents in the present scenario the school has decide to change it’s medium of instruction from Hindi to English from April 2015. Presently . We have English medium classes from Nursery to VII. Correspondingly the English medium will be introduced class wish every year.

From the very beginning this school was imparting education to both boys and girls at the primary level, but at the secondary it was only for the girls. Later when the school upgraded to Sr. Sec. the school is again a co-education one. The main aim of the school is an all round development of its students and to provide them sound intellectual, physical and moral training based on high ideas and principles, so that they turn out to be good and upright citizen for time and eternity.

Due to the hard work and dedication of the staff the Board examination results have been consistently 100% . Every year many students receive the ‘Gargi Purskhar’ and distinction marks in various subjects. In the year 2008 Miss Madhuri and Miss Manisha obtained 1st & 3rd Position respectively at the district level 8th Board exams and in the year 2010 these same students secured 8th & 10th position at the state level in Secondary Examination . Miss karuna Rathore-Secondary, Miss Deepa Rawat Senior Secondary (Arts) and Miss Manvi Bhatt –Secondary Secured 1st Position in district level in the years 2015, 17 and 18 respectively in the examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan and thereby glorified the name of their parents and the institution as well. The computer education was introduced from class I to XII. Keeping in mind the emerging high-tech era, the school has introduced the smart classes also from LKG to XII.

Apart from the academic the institution lay a great strees on the co-curricular activities and sports. Everyday students get coaching under the able guidance of trained coaches in various games, sports, music, art etc.

Parents about 1000 students and 50 staff members are there in the school. By the grace and providence of the Almighty God and due to the untiring and selfless hard work, love & co-operation of the staff the school is progressing day by day.
